True Blue Collaborations, LLC is a production company that I created to house all of my ideas. The first idea that I fully executed under this brand is the Black People Speak Podcast as well as the website, blkpplspeak.com and the corresponding social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  I have a project coming soon, South Louisiana Real Estate Services.

  • Research and creatively design podcast topics and provide support by getting guests and preparing scripts. Record and prepare podcasts for internet distributions.
  • Coordinate and assist in preparing the guests for the podcast by providing them with interview questions through email.
  • Conduct interviews on Skype, convert podcasts to mp3 format to host it on a podcast channel, and add podcast to RSS feed.
  • Develop new and innovative ways to promote podcasts on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Black People Speak Podcast is available on iTunes, Google Play, and Soundcloud

This was period of time where I held various job throughout the recession. It was consistent but it was work. 

East Baton Rouge Parish School Board/ Transportation Office, Call Center Representative

  • Received callers providing exceptional listening skills to determine the nature of their call in order to clearly and precisely address the inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assisted administratively by typing letters, memos, and reports. Maintained quality control constantly seeking new ways to improve call service.

 Hamilton Relay Services, Re-Voicing Specialist

  • Worked as a re-voicing specialist for hearing impaired customers. Provided assistance by carefully listening to the speech patterns uttered by an individual with a speech disability.
  • Used lip-reading and attention to other cues if necessary for full understanding of the utterances, and then repeat the same words in a manner that is more clear and understandable.

  • Quadel Consulting was contracted to develop and execute policies for The Road Home Program after the Hurricanes Katrina and Rita to help recover and rebuild homes of people of South Louisiana.

  • Answered main telephone line, provided general information and transferred callers to appropriate staff, established and maintained case files in a system, assisted applicants in understanding the program, collected documents, took fingerprints and photographs of applicants and provided information on a CD.
